The Brutally Honest Startup Assessment, Angel Edition, is a platform for angel investors, syndicate leads, angel networks and startup mentors. You send the assessment to a startup, every co-founder answers separately in about 90 minutes (they can save and come back), and you get a scored report.
The report scores four dimensions (Current State, Scalability & Fund Raising, Road to Revenue, Competitive Landscape), places the company on one of five levels from Emerging to Market-Ready, and shows the team average, alignment per dimension and the co-founders' answers side by side.
Free plan: 1 evaluation and 50 AI Analyst credits a month. Paid plans: 25 to 375 EUR a month for 2 to 50 evaluations, plus an optional AI credit add-on of up to 75 EUR. Prices include VAT, and yearly billing costs ten times the monthly price. Mentors and investors apply and are approved.

How does the startup assessment work?
You get access to send structured assessments to startups in your pipeline. Founders complete the evaluation independently, and you receive comprehensive reports with readiness scores, team alignment metrics, and AI-generated insights.
How much does the platform cost?
The free plan gives you one evaluation a month to send to a startup and 50 AI Analyst credits. Paid plans start at €25 a month for two evaluations and go up to €375 a month for fifty, with 250 AI Analyst credits included. Prices include VAT, yearly billing gives you two months free, and you can cancel anytime.
Why do all co-founders need to complete it?
Team misalignment is one of the top reasons startups fail. When each founder completes the assessment independently, you can see where they agree and disagree on strategy, vision, and execution, before you invest.
How long does it take founders to complete?
The assessment takes founders about 90 minutes, and they can save and come back. It's designed to go deep (covering business viability, market understanding, and investment readiness) so you get the signal you actually need to make a decision.
What insights do I get from the reports?
You receive individual readiness scores across four key dimensions, team alignment percentages, AI-powered pattern analysis, and specific red flags or strengths. It's structured due diligence data you can't get from pitch decks.
